The Blackhawks seem to have a knack for finding players out of Europe. The latest addition is Swiss forward Pius Suter, who signed a one-year, $925,000 contract with the team today.
Suter is 24 years old, stands at 5-foot-11, weighs 170 lbs, and carries a left-handed shot. He has been a mainstay for the ZSC Lions of the NLA (Swiss National League) over the past five seasons, recording 30 goals and 23 assists in 50 games in his most recent campaign.
As seen in this four-goal performance from 2017 below, Suter likes to crash the net or set up in the slot.
With Drake Caggiula, Dominik Kubalik, and Dylan Strome all set to become restricted free agents this offseason, Suter could very well be filling one of their spots on the 2020-21 Blackhawks roster.
