Today the White Sox made a slew of roster moves and announced their 30-man roster.
Most notably, Nick Madrigal is not part of the 30-man roster. Many fans thought the infield prospect had performed well enough during Summer Camp to earn a spot, but White Sox management decided to assign him to the taxi squad instead.
In addition to finalizing the Opening Day roster, the club also announced the starting rotation.
The order will be Lucas Giolito, Dallas Keuchel, Reynaldo Lopez, Dylan Cease, and Carlos Rodon. One notable miss is the recently re-acquired Gio González. More than likely, González will play the role of long reliever and spot starter. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Rodon or Lopez end up in the bullpen at some point as well.
