Monday was a big day for Cubs’ prospect Tyson Miller. The RHP was promoted from the South Bend alternate site to the active roster as the 29th man ahead of Monday’s doubleheader against St. Louis.
Miller is currently listed as the 25th-ranked prospect in the Cubs’ top 30. He was drafted by the Cubs in the fourth round of the 2016 MLB Draft and has risen through the prospect ranks since then.
Miller posted a 7-8 record between Double-A and Triple-A in 2019 in addition to a 4.35 ERA, 123 strikeouts, and only 43 walks.
Miller will make his major league debut starting for the Cubs in game two on Monday night.
