In advance of tonight’s debut for prospect Dane Dunning, the White Sox have made a series of roster moves.

The White Sox have called up Dunning to start against former number 1 pick, Casey Mize, of the Detroit Tigers. Adam Engel returns from the injured list, José Ruiz returns to Schaumburg, and Cheslor Cuthbert has been designated for assignment.

In addition, per James Fegan of The Athletic, the White Sox added Jake Burger to the Schaumburg taxi squad. Burger ruptured his Achilles twice since 2018, so the White Sox are glad the 2017 first rounder is back on the diamond.

Dunning will wear number 51 in his first start today against the Tigers.
