The Chicago Bulls have received the 4th in the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery. Bulls fans will be ecstatic with this news as the Bulls had just a 32% chance to obtain a top-four pick in this year’s draft.
With roughly two months until the actual draft, Arturas Karnisovas – who was the Bulls’ representative at the virtual lottery – and Marc Eversley will have plenty of time to determine who they will select with their first draft pick as Bulls front-office leaders. It will be a massive selection to which Karnisovas and Eversley will always be linked.
While this regime will certainly get multiple drafts to upgrade a roster who went 22-43 last season, it is imperative they start off on the right foot and select a player who will make a meaningful impact straight away.
Who Will the Bulls Most Likely Draft with the 4th Pick?
The Bulls were more likely to receive the 8th pick than fall in the top four, so this is a massive win for the organization. While LaMelo Ball (PG, Illawarra) and Anthony Edwards (SG, Georgia) probably won’t both be on the board at #4, it is possible one of them may fall to the Bulls.
However, Karnisovas is more likely to have access to top frontcourt prospects Obi Toppin (PF, Dayton), Onyeka Okongwu (F/C, USC), or James Wiseman (C, Memphis), who only played three games during his short stint at Memphis. Deni Avdija (SF, Maccabi Tel Aviv), a versatile, playmaking wing who has played in the Euroleague should most likely be available at #4 as well.
The NBA Draft takes place on October 16th at 7:30 pm CDT on ESPN.
