After being on the IL for almost a full month, Reynaldo Lopez is expected to make his second start of the season tonight.
Lopez, 26, pitched only 0.2 innings in his first start against the Twins. He managed to give up four earned runs and one home run in his lone start. Lopez has been on the injured list since late July.
The righty touts a career ERA of 4.74. He led the league in earned runs last season due to his inability to strike batters out in certain games. Lopez has shown the capacity to produce at a high level but has had trouble consistently performing at that level.
The former top prospect will look to improve in his second start of the 2020 season and turn a new leaf in his young career. He had a lot of expectations since being first called up. It will be up to him to finally put it all together.
