Ex-Bear Lands Broadcasting Gig With CBS Sports
CBS Sports PR announced that the network will bring on Kyle Long as a studio analyst for “The Other Pregame Show” beginning in the 2020 season.
A former Chicago Bear made news late Monday morning. CBS Sports PR announced that the network will bring on Kyle Long as a studio analyst for “The Other Pregame Show” beginning in the 2020 season. Long will be venturing into new territory as he embarks on his broadcasting career with them in September.
The move to broadcasting comes as no surprise given Long’s charismatic personality and his knowledge of the game. He has made this pretty evident with his various media appearances over the years. A transition to broadcasting for Long in his post-playing career seemed like the perfect fit for him. Quite frankly, it wasn’t a matter of “if” but “when”. Viewers shouldn’t worry about his lack of experience in this role, as the Long family are no strangers to broadcasting. Kyle will be following in the footsteps of his father, Howie, who is pregame show analyst for FOX.
Kyle Long called it quits on his NFL career after the 2019 season. Over seven seasons with the Bears, he made three Pro Bowls and one playoff appearance.
