Per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the White Sox have signed Yolmer Sanchez to a minor-league deal.
Sanchez is a friendly face for the White Sox. In his six years with the team, he slashed .244/.299/.357 over 646 games. He won a Gold Glove with the team in 2019 before signing with the San Francisco Giants.
More likely than not, he will join the Schaumburg taxi squad and may eventually be used as a backup for Nick Madrigal, Tim Anderson, and Danny Mendick with Leury Garcia out for the season.
