According the Chuck Garfien of NBC Sports Chicago, Rick Hahn said Aaron Bummer should be ready to return to the White Sox bullpen at the end of the regular season.

If you do not recall, Bummer exited the game on August 7th against the Cleveland Indians with a left bicep strain. He was placed retroactively on the 45-day IL last week, but Hahn expects the lefty hurler to possibly return for the last road trip of the regular, which would place his return sometime between September 17 and September 24.

The Sox travel to Cincinnati and follow up in Cleveland before returning to Chicago to face the Cubs at home in the final series. In 7.1 innings this season, Bummer sports a 1.23 ERA with a 1.81 xFIP and 12 Ks. He is a vital component of the bullpen in late innings for the Sox. The team and fans alike should hope he returns as soon as possible for a potential division title and playoff run.
