Illinois Basketball Ranked 4th in National Preseason Poll

Andy Katz of NCAA.com and Big Ten Network lists Illinois basketball at number 4 on his preseason ‘Power 36’ college basketball rankings.

Andy Katz of NCAA.com and Big Ten Network has come out with his preseason college basketball rankings. He lists Illini basketball at fourth overall.

This ranking comes after star players Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn announced their returns to the Illini program. With the commitments of 4-Star recruits Adam Miller and Andre Curbelo in addition to 3-star recruit Coleman Hawkins, the Illini have every piece needed to make a national championship run.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports announced last week that the start dates have been confirmed for NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball this upcoming season, so the Illini will have the chance to bring home a national title for the first time since 1943.
