The Chicago Bulls have hired Vanja Cernivec to their scouting team. Cernivec will work under Director of International Scouting, Ivica Dukan.

Cernivec joins the Bulls with a plethora of work experience in NBA offices abroad. Most recently, she worked as the Director of Basketball Offices at the NBA Europe office in Spain.

She also has experience working with Goran Dragic in their native Slovenia, specifically as Director of Operations of his basketball camp and as a Basketball Delegate for the Euroleague.

This hire is a positive one for two reasons. First, expanding the international scouting department signifies Arturas Karnisovas’ intent to establish well-connected and entrenched scouting networks across Europe and beyond. Second, Cernivec becomes the first female scout in the history of the Bulls organization.
