The Chicago Bears will be without another piece of their starting defensive line with the injury to defensive tackle John Jenkins. The team placed him on injured reserve today after he suffered a ligament tear in his thumb against the Giants on Sunday.
Jenkins replaced Eddie Goldman when he opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns and will now miss a large chunk of the season.
To replace the gaping hole left by his hand injury, the Bears have signed Daniel McCullers from the Steelers practice squad.
Let’s hope we can see plenty of this when he gears up and embraces the new orange and blue colors. He does not have a ton of top-level experience, as evidenced below:
Hopefully, playing alongside Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn will increase his aggressive defense.
