Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire Additions
As injuries continue to pile up early in the NFL season, the waiver wire becomes all the more important in fantasy football. Here are the best Week 4 adds.
Another week of NFL action is in the books, and it was yet another week full of major injuries. But that’s why we have the waiver wire. Given the current trends in fantasy football, adding production to your roster from the waiver wire will be a major component of success in 2020. It might go even deeper than it has in the last several years. Now it’s time to take a look at some top targets heading into week four.
No, I am not crazy. Everyone should have a second quarterback waiting in the wings. A decent quarterback can be hard to come by after the season starts. Looking at the game against Atlanta, Foles was able to put up just over 17 points in less than a half of playing time. The chemistry between Foles and his offensive weapons will continue to grow now that he is officially the Bears’ starter. Beyond having some peace of mind at the QB position in the short term, adding Foles could also make for good trade bait down the road if you are looking to add weapons in the following weeks. Foles will continue to put up solid numbers with all the talent that surrounds him on the Bears offense.
Everyone else will be going after Carlos Hyde — that is if he isn’t rostered already. However, maybe you just need to be a step ahead of everyone else. The real reason to go after Homer is very simple: he has the chance to be on the field more than Hyde in the end. Homer is able to catch the ball out of the backfield and be the quicker running back for Seattle. In two games last season, Homer recorded 11 total receptions with the Seahawks while Hyde hauled in ten total receptions in a full 16-game season. At this point, make the attack for the higher upside player.
The one thing that the Vikings were looking for was a second target for Kirk Cousins. In week three, it looked like Justin Jefferson was that guy. This trend should continue, as Jefferson has a chance to be a major threat Minnesota. Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen cannot be the only two getting it done for the Vikings. Week three was a bit of a breakout game for the rookie, so he will be a hot target this week. If you have a spot for him, then make the move to grab him. His production will continue to improve over the next few weeks.
- Tee Higgins – WR, CIN
- Brandon Aiyuk – WR, SF
- Andy Isabella – WR, ARZ
- Gabriel Davis – WR, BUF
- Kalif Raymond – WR, TEN
All the players listed above are starting to become second options with their respective teams. Some are due to injuries and others are due to players taking that next step. The craziness of 2020 continues on and we all must move forward with what is available to us. Good luck with your waiver claims and in week four.
