Bears’ Guard James Daniels Out For Season
Chicago Bears’ guard James Daniels will be out for the season after tearing a pectoral muscle during Thursday night’s contest against the Buccaneers.
During a wild 20-19 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football, the Bears lost a key piece of their offensive line. The team feared that guard James Daniel suffered a torn pectoral muscle, and an MRI confirmed that unfortunate news on Friday afternoon.
James Daniels started 31 straight games dating back week eight of his rookie season in 2018. Sadly, that streak will come to an end.
Where do the Bears go now? For starters, Alex Bars replaced Daniels after the injury occurred to finish out the game. It seems that his job at this time, but the Bears will certainly be looking for veteran help. They also have rookie Arlington Hambright waiting in the wings, so he could potentially challenge Bars for the spot should there be any issues. Luckily, the Bears have an extended break until their next game at Carolina on Sunday, October 18th.
