He also was a finalist for the Calder Trophy. Kubalik re-signed with Chicago today for two years at a $3.7 million cap hit.
The team also re-signed goalie Malcolm Subban to a two-year contract that carries an $850K cap hit. This news follows yesterday’s announcement that longtime goalie Corey Crawford would not re-sign with the Blackhawks. Subban is expected to compete with Rockford IceHogs goalies Kevin Lankinen and Collin Delia for the Blackhawks’ net in 2021.
