The Chicago Bears made a roster transaction on Tuesday evening when they announced the signing of receiver/return specialist Dwayne Harris to the practice squad. In a corresponding move, the team released defensive tackle, Terry Beckner.
Harris, 33, is a nine-year veteran in the league. He has spent time with three different teams: Cowboys (four years), Giants (three years), and Raiders (two years).
Here’s a look at Harris’s career stats as a returner:

The Bears will likely look to Harris for a boost in the punt return game after Ted Ginn Jr.’s lackluster performance against the Rams in Week 7.
The move is unsurprising, as the Bears have been looking to replace production at the position after losing Tarik Cohen for the season due to a knee injury in Week 3.
