With the offseason officially underway after the Dodgers won the World Series on Tuesday night, the White Sox did not waste any time on adding depth to their infield. Per Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the White Sox have signed Tim Beckham to a minor-league deal worth $1.35 million if he lands on the Major League roster. He previously spent time with the Rays, Orioles, and Mariners.
Beckham has not played since 2019, during which he hit 15 home runs and slashed .237/.293/.461 for Seattle. More than likely, this move could signal that the White Sox are moving on from Leury García, Yolmer Sánchez, or Danny Mendick. White Sox fans should know if García will return or not by Sunday, as MLB teams need to decide on players with pending options by then.
