The Chicago Bears received some good news this morning when Allen Robinson cleared concussion protocol. He is expected to play in tomorrow’s showdown with the New Orleans Saints.
Considering the Bears rank near the very bottom of the league in just about every offensive category, they desperately need their star receiver on the field.
Considering the Bears play in the late afternoon window, this gives them even more time to get Robinson ready to handle his usual workload. He was barely targeted in last week’s abysmal offensive display against the Rams and should be in line for a heavy usage.
The Saints are one of the best defensive teams against the run this season, but they are one of the worst against the air attack and in the red zone. If the Bears have any chance at pulling off the upset win, it will require a healthy dose of targets for Robinson to propel a ferocious passing game.
