Bears’ Offensive Lineman Tests Positive For COVID-19

The already depleted offensive line of the Chicago Bears takes another hit due to COVID-19.

Today the news broke from Ian Rapoport that Chicago Bears’ offensive lineman Jason Spriggs has indeed tested positive for COVID-19.

Fellow offensive lineman Germain Ifedi was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list due to close contact. This is a huge blow to the Bears offensive line, considering they are already extremely thin at the position.

Bobbie Massie has been placed on the injured reserve list, while practice squad member Lachavious Simmons was promoted to the active roster.

This offense is already struggling and ranks near the bottom of every category. Having an offensive line decimated by injuries will only make things worse.

As of now, the Bears’ Sunday matchup with the Titans is still scheduled as planned. Likely, we’ll have more information in the coming days as further testing takes place.
