The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) tentatively approved the start date for the 2020-21 NBA season according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The start date for the season is expected to be on December 22nd and there will be 72 regular-season games played.

The 2019-20 season just ended on October 11th when the Los Angeles Lakers defeated Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. Ironically, there will be a 72-day break between the previous season and the upcoming 72-game season.

The 2020 NBA Draft is scheduled for November 18th. However, the free agency period for teams has not been announced yet.
