Bears’ RB David Montgomery in Concussion Protocol

The Chicago Bears have been hit with yet another injury. This time they may be without their starting running back.

The Chicago Bears may have lost another member of their offense. It’s that time of year when the injury bug is looking to feast and the Bears are getting bitten up.

David Montgomery has suffered a concussion and is currently in concussion protocol.

Montgomery suffered the injury on a four-yard run with 6:19 left in the fourth quarter.

Nevertheless, the second-year running back has a week to get cleared before the Bears face the Vikings on Monday Night Football. If Montgomery isn’t ready to go, the Bears will have Cordarrelle Patterson, Ryan Nall, and Artavis Pierce carrying the load in his absence.

It may be a long shot, but the team could also activate recently-signed Lamar Miller.
