Two NBA Draft Prospects Interview With The Chicago Bulls

The Bulls have interviewed two potential lottery picks ahead of the 2020 NBA Draft.

According to K.C. Johnson and Rob Schafer of NBC Sports Chicago, the Chicago Bulls have met with two potential lottery picks — Iowa State guard Tyrese Haliburton and Auburn forward Isaac Okoro — ahead of the 2020 NBA Draft.

Now, these aren’t the names most Bulls’ fans want to hear called with the fourth pick in the NBA Draft, but it seems the new front office is going to be prepared for anything. Rumors have been swirling that the Bulls will trade up, but there are also other reports indicate that they may trade down.

There are a plethora of NBA Mock Drafts available for you to find on the interwebs that will tell you that Haliburton and Okoro are slated to go anywhere from sixth to tenth overall in the draft. So maybe that’s what is on Artūras Karnišovas and Marc Eversley’s mind: trade back and gain more capital for the future.

Tyrese Haliburton

Tyrese Haliburton wouldn’t be a bad selection (as long as it isn’t with the fourth pick), as he is a long point guard with great floor vision and became the primary scorer for Iowa State. He seemed very optimistic after his interview with the Bulls, stating he believes he could help take the pressure off of Zach LaVine and Coby White.

Isaac Okoro

The other prospect to interview with the Bulls was Isaac Okoro, a forward from Auburn. Okoro is an athletic freak, but he’s still very raw offensively. He’s an above-average defender due to his athleticism and is strong enough to guard NBA small forwards or even small-ball four’s. The Bulls would be taking a gamble on Okoro if they were to trade down for him. But if he can pull all of his talent together, he could be one of the best players to come out of this draft.
