Bears Bets Breakdown: Prop Bets for Bears vs. Vikings
The On Tap boys are back with their Bears prop bets ahead of Monday Night Football.
The Bears prop bet experts of On Tap Sports Net don a 5-2 record when they began this series. Ron Luce, Lucas Perfetti, and DJ musterd are on a tear and ready for another week of Bears action. Here are the lines they would like to exploit.
Darnell Mooney – O/U 3.5 Receptions
Mooney has grown to be Nick Foles’ favorite downfield target. With the Bears announcement that Bill Lazor (Offensive Coordinator) will take over play-calling for Matt Nagy, the Bears will more than likely be throwing the ball down field instead of side-to-side, like how football was meant to be played. In this case, Mooney is an ideal breakout candidate. He has five receptions in the last two weeks and, with David Montgomery out due to concussion protocol, Foles will keep it in the air.
Pick: Mooney – Over 3.5 Receptions (-102)
Nick Foles – O/U 0.5 INTs
With the Bears short-handed in the run game, Foles may have to throw the ball over 40 times, especially with no bruising running back. Unless the Bears surprise everyone and run Cordarrelle Patterson out of the backfield 20 times, they are going to throw downfield. Foles has thrown a pick in every game except last week against the Titans. Look for him to return to a sense of normalcy, as we are all trying to do during these unprecedented times.
Pick: Foles – Over 0.5 INTs (-162)
Dalvin Cook – O/U 16.5 Receiving Yards
Cook is currently averaging 24.7 receiving yards per game. He has eclipsed at least 15 yards receiving in each of the last five games. Even with a strong secondary defense for Chicago, if Cook manages two solid receptions off of a screen, he will continue this trend. Since the Bears do not necessarily have the strongest run game, look at this as a similar scenario on short yardage, turned into a larger gain.
Pick: Cook – Over 16.5 Rec Yds
VALUE BET: Lamar Miller Anytime TD +750
Miller has not seen regular season action since 2018, but the Bears promoted him from the practice squad for the game in David Montgomery’s absence. The former pro-bowler has 32 TDs in his seven-year career, so if the Bears are looking for a surprise out of the backfield, Miller is their guy.
Besides, the Vikings allow 4.2 yards per carry, so if you have a little extra betting scratch for the NFL week, throw some money on Miller scoring. You might get that parlay-like payout you have always dreamed of.
Pick: Miller – TD (+750)
