Bears Quarterback Nick Foles Carted Off With Injury
The Bears lose again on Monday Night Football and also lose their starting quarterback to an injury.
Less than a minute remained in the Monday Night Football game between the Bears and the Vikings when Nick Foles sustained an injury after being slammed to the ground. Here’s the play where the injury occurred:
He landed very awkwardly on his hip and was clearly in immediate pain. Foles was carted off the field and Tyler Bray replaced him to try to lead a comeback drive for the Bears.
The Bears fell flat in their attempt at a game-winning drive and handed Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins his first win on Monday Night Football.
Since Mitchell Trubisky is still dealing with an injury, it’s likely the Bears will start Tyler Bray in two weeks against the Packers. Unless Foles or Trubisky return to full health quickly — that’s assuming Foles’ injury isn’t too serious — Bray could get multiple starts as the Bears look to recover from a four-game losing streak.
