For many fantasy football owners, this week will mark the end of the regular season. Now you are at the point where you are in or out, in first or fighting to get in. Carolina and Tampa Bay will both be heading to bye this week, which will be the conclusion of the byes for the 2020 season. This season has come and gone pretty quickly, but it’s time to keep your foot on the gas and finish strong. Here are my waiver wire pickups for Week 13.
While the Rams’ RB room has been a revolving door all season on who to play, it looks as if Akers is starting to carve out a role with his explosiveness. Over the last several weeks, Akers has looked good when getting the ball, especially this past week when he broke off a 60-yard run. I’m not ready to trust him, but if you are in a pinch, he can be the guy for the week. He’s definitely worth holding to see what happens in the playoffs.
Akers is the only guy that is any sort of priority for me on this week’s waiver wire. However, there are definitely some players that absolutely should be rostered if they aren’t already, including high-volume handcuffs such as Ito Smith/Brian Hill, Tony Pollard, Benny Snell, Boston Scott, Alexander Mattison, etc. Latavius Murray is my number one add this week if he is available. Even with Alvin Kamara healthy, Murray has a role that has been expanded with Taysom Hill at QB.
- Corey Davis – WR, TEN
- Allen Lazard – WR, GB
- Breshad Perriman – WR, NYJ
- Keke Coutee – WR, HOU
That does it for this week’s fantasy football waiver wire adds. Be sure to tune in to the Fantasy Hour On Tap podcast for analysis, updates, and advice down the home stretch of the 2020 season.
