Newly acquired Chicago Bulls’ guard Garrett Temple announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19 during his December 6th Training Camp press conference. He said that he tested positive last Saturday, and he has been in quarantine ever since. After feeling a headache and fatigue, he went to get tested which led to a positive diagnosis. At this point, Temple claims he is past his symptomatic stages and he hopes to join the Bulls for practice on Wednesday, December 9th.

Temple signed with the Bulls this offseason on a one-year deal for the Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception at roughly $4.7 million. He brings leadership to a young team and can hopefully serve as a mentor for players like Patrick Williams. It does not immediately seem as though Temple’s positive test will have any implications for the other players on the Bulls.
