The Chicago Bulls have waived forward Noah Vonleh after it was announced he had tested positive for COVID-19. This will end his second stint with the Chicago Bulls.
Vonleh only appeared in one preseason game for the Bulls where he scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 11 minutes of play. The ninth overall pick from the 2014 NBA Draft has struggled to find a home during his time in the NBA. Vonleh looked impressive in his lone preseason game with the Bulls, but not enough for the team to keep him around for the regular season.
The one-year deal Vonleh signed on November 28th was non-guaranteed. Since he will begin a mandatory ten-day quarantine after his positive COVID-19 test, the Bulls decided to waive him so his contract did not become guaranteed at the start of the regular season.
