Survive and advance. That’s the current motto for fantasy football. Congratulations to those who are moving on in their leagues this week. Waivers are undeniably thin heading into Week 15 and you most likely have everyone you need ready to go. If you are in desperate need of a spot start, however, this is where I am at.
In each of the last two games, Higgins has tallied a touchdown and six receptions. The volume is there if you are in need of a desperation play. Baker Mayfield has been slinging the ball the last few weeks, so one would hope to see that trend continue. This week Higgins will see a lot of James Bradberry, who has been having a great season on the defensive side of the ball. If Higgins continues his production through this week, it will set him up nicely for the Week 16 matchup against the Jets. Also, isn’t this video just so smooth? Gotta respect it.
Over the last two weeks, Coutee has played 75% of snaps in both games. The Texans got absolutely steamrolled this past weekend by the Bears. This week, Houston travels to Indianapolis to face the Colts. Coutee racked up 141 yards on eight receptions in Week 13 when these two teams faced off, so maybe he has another big performance on the horizon. With all the offensive woes and extenuating circumstances in Houston, they are needing production and Coutee could certainly hang onto his newfound role.
Last year, DeAndre Washington led me to a fantasy championship after Josh Jacobs went down with an injury. Let’s see if lightning can strike twice. Washington saw 15 touches this past Sunday, and we all know volume reigns supreme. The Dolphins actually have a favorable matchup for fantasy running backs this weekend. If Salvon Ahmed, Matt Breida, and Myles Gaskin are all out this weekend, Washington should receive enough volume against a soft Patriots rushing defense to be a decent floor play.
Lynn Bowden Jr.
The Miami RB/WR had a nice performance Sunday, hauling in seven of nine targets for 82 yards. He played 71% of snaps and was the first look for Tua throughout the game. The Dolphins are depleted on offense due to injuries, so Bowden could be a solid play if those woes continue into this week. On most fantasy formats he has WR and RB eligibility, giving you some room to make additional adjustments if you need it.
