Chicago Bulls’ head coach Billy Donovan announced that the team will be without several players against the Washington Wizards this evening.
Lauri Markkanen, Ryan Arcidiacono, Tomas Satoransky, and Chandler Hutchison will all miss the road contest in the nation’s capital. It’s currently unclear if these absences are COVID-19 related or not, as the injury report only cites “NBA’s health and safety protocols”.
Shortly after the announcement from Donovan, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported that the Bulls do not know if the players missing today’s game will be able to travel back to Chicago with the team or not.
This unwelcome news in the early stages of the 2020-21 NBA campaign could potentially lead to the league’s first outbreak.
