The Chicago Blackhawks added some more certainty to their forward group today by agreeing to terms on a two-year extension with forward Dylan Strome.
Strome’s contract will carry a $3 million cap hit through the 2021-22 season.
Last season, Strome recorded 38 points (12 goals, 26 assists) over 58 games. He also added three points (two goals, one assist) in nine playoff games.
This transaction comes just in time, as the Blackhawks open their training camp tomorrow. The NHL 2021 regular-season slate begins on Wednesday, January 13th when the Blackhawks will visit the defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning.
