On the morning of Week 17, the Chicago Bears unofficially announced that Matt Nagy will return for the 2021 season.
Although it may come as a surprise, Nagy has supposedly had a larger hand in the play-calling recently. Although he turned play-calling over to OC Bill Lazor, it seems the two are working together now while calling plays.
Nagy’s return also indicates that GM Ryan Pace will return to the team in 2021 as well. There was a lot of speculation that he, Nagy, and Mitchell Trubisky could all be finding new homes next season. However, after winning three straight with a chance at the playoffs, it seems like all three will return in 2021.
The Bears host the Green Bay Packers at 3:25 p.m. CST at Solider Field on Sunday. A win for the Bears means a playoff birth, while a loss requires some help if they hope to be playing next weekend.
