White Sox fans should be familiar with Connor McKnight’s pre- and post-game shows from the past. Per ESPN 1000, they will have McKnight doing the same, as well as some on-air shows.
Now, McKnight is a unique White Sox voice because he holds the feelings of fans and will not withhold criticism of the team when necessary.
McKnight will also serve as the backup play-by-play man for ESPN 1000 and Sox games this season. Although Len Kasper left the Cubs TV booth to assume the White Sox radio role, he will still be on a handful of TV broadcasts as a backup to Jason Benetti, opening the door for McKnight on radio.
It is great to have a true fan’s voice on the air, McKnight will fill the role admirably.
