HBO Has A New ‘Game of Thrones’ Show in Development

Variety is reporting that HBO is developing another TV show in the Game of Thrones universe. Based on the short stories by George R.R. Martin, the series will chronicle the travels and trials of Dunk and Egg.

The stories take place about 90 years before the events of the GOT, so it will have some tie-in to the existing universe.

The show is very early in development, and no cast or crew have been announced yet. Anything can happen on the road to having a show greenlit for a pilot or picked up to series, but if all goes well this can become the second spinoff series set after House of the Dragon, which is currently set to premiere in 2022.
