As the NCAA plans to move all of March Madness to the Indianapolis area for a bubble-like scenario, the Big Ten looks to do the same for the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Originally planned to take place at the United Center in Chicago this year, the Big Ten Tournament will now move to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The tournament will not be back in the Windy City until 2023.
More than likely, this could deal with having fans in attendance, but it also makes sense for players, staff, and family to remain in the same area if they will be playing in the NCAA Tournament the following weekend. Hopefully, winter sports have a successful, safe end to their seasons, so they can all partake in their respective championships.
