Flossmoor Station Brewery is releasing its first craft beer of 2021. The new brew will be called Eternal Flame Imperial Stout. It was aged 12 months in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels and boasts a whopping 10.3% ABV.
Flossmoor Station is dubbing it a “Mexican Cake Stout”. They have an interesting Aztec mythology story behind the beer as well. The synopsis is a tragic love story, making it fitting for a Valentine’s Day weekend release.
The beer will boast hints of bourbon, chocolate, cinnamon, and habanero.
Craft beer connoisseurs like Beer Garden Jim likely cannot wait to get their hands on this one. And the intrigue is warranted — how will the habanero flavor play within a stout? Heat lovers should be highly interested in the beer as well.
Flossmoor Station plans to release more details on tapping and bottling of Eternal Flame in the near future.
