BREAKING: Cubs Reportedly Reuniting with Jake Arrieta on a One-Year Deal

The former Cy Young Award winner and World Series champion is returning to the Chicago Cubs, the franchise where he endured the most success.

It’s been rumored as a possibility for awhile now, but it looks like Jake Arrieta is officially close to a deal with the Cubs.

According to Jon Heyman, the Cy Young Award winner and World Series champion Arrieta is close to a deal to come back to the Northside.

Jesse Rogers reported Arrieta is likely to get $6.5 to $7 million next season from the Cubs. Looks like Jake Day is back.

Arrieta struggled his last two seasons in Philadelphia, but Jake is likely hoping he can re-work himself into a major league quality pitcher again in the place where he had the most success.
