After being sidelined multiple weeks, Wendell Carter Jr. fully participated in Bulls practice today. K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported the news.

Wendell has not appeared in a game for the Bulls since a January 18th win against the Houston Rockets. He sustained the injury in a practice collision with teammate Denzel Valentine and has not been on the court since. In 14 games this year, Carter Jr. is averaging 12.8 PPG,8.0 RPG, 2.4 APG, and 1.3 BPG on 57% shooting from the field and 26% from downtown.

His return would surely help the Bulls’ defense so long as he can stay consistently healthy for the rest of the season. The Bulls rank 27th in the NBA in defense, which they did with Carter as well, but his size and length will be a welcome addition once he returns. Second-year big-man Daniel Gafford has been starting in Carter Jr.’s place since the injury occurred.
