With White Sox pitchers and catchers reporting to Camelback Ranch today, general manager Rick Hahn met with the media to field questions of all sorts.
While his procolmation about the White Sox having World Series aspirations was the main attention-grabber, he also provided a medical update regarding relief pitcher Jace Fry.
Fry underwent a microdiscectomy procedure on his back and will miss at least the first month of the 2021 campaign. The left-hander posted a 3.66 ERA in 19.2 innings over 18 games during the shortened 2020 season.
With the MLB season beginning on April 1st, the White Sox will likely rely on Aaron Bummer and Garrett Crochet as their lefty options out of the bullpen until Fry returns to action.
