Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine was drafted to Team Durant for March 7th’s NBA All-Star game. LaVine has had one hell of a season so far and earned his first All-Star nod as a reserve. LaVine has led the Bulls to a 16-18 record, which would put them in a position to participate play-in round of the NBA playoffs as the tenth seed should the season end today.
Lavine will also be participating in the NBA 3 Point Contest for the second straight year. The Bulls’ star guard takes great pride in his game and has worked extremely hard to earn his way into the NBA’s most popular weekend, which he discussed on the All-Smoke Podcast.
“I just want to do my part to put the Chicago Bulls back on the map and get them back to the championship era. Chicago sports are big. They really root for you. It’s exciting and I’m very humbled to wear Chicago across my chest.”– Zach LaVine
This could open up many doors for the Bulls with LaVine playing in the All-Star game. Relationships can formulate at such an event and given his loyalty to the Chicago Bulls, he could help attract superstar players. LaVine’s selection to Team Durant gives him the chance to play with a plethora of the league’s most athletic and talented players.
