Today it was announced by the city of Chicago that the White Sox will host fans in the stands this season. 20% stadium capacity will be allowed, which is good for 8,122 fans.
Then later in the morning, it was announced that there will be no tailgating, t-shirt giveaways, or dollar dog Wednesday’s at Guaranteed Rate Field in 2021.
Though these perks have been postponed for the time being due to the pandemic, it’s nice to know that Chicago White Sox fans can return to the stands and hopefully watch a competitive team. It’s been a long time coming after years and years of mediocrity. Chicago White Sox fans deserve to see their team perform at the highest level in person, not exclusively on television.
