Mario Edwards will be returning to the Chicago Bears after signing a multi-year deal. Terms of the contract were reported by Ian Rapoport.

Edwards signed with the Chicago Bears on September 8th, 2020 after being cut by the New Orleans Saints on September 5th, 2020. In 15 games last year for the Bears, Edwards registered 17 total tackles and a career-high four sacks.

Though Edwards has signed this multi-year deal, he won’t play with the Bears in their first two games of the 2021 NFL season. Edwards violated the the NFL’s PED policy. Despite the suspension, Ryan Pace brought him back after what was an impressive 2020 campaign.
