According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Chicago Bears have reached an agreement with offensive lineman Germain Ifedi on a one-year deal.
According to Rapoport, the deal is worth $5 million. After the Bears reached a contract agreement with Andy Dalton earlier worth $10 million, their salary cap space created by Pace’s creativity is dwindling once again.
Admittedly, the Bears’ offensive line played better as a unit in the last third of the season. Having consistent line play for a re-tooling offense will be crucial if the Bears hope to achieve any level of success in 2021. Ifedi played in all 16 regular season games in 2020 and should have good chemsitry with his fellow linemen.
