The NBA Trade Deadline is quickly approaching, as teams’ abilities to trade end on Thursday, March 25th. According to reports, some teams have been inquiring about Chicago Bulls rookie Patrick Williams.
“The Paw”, as Chicago Bulls color commentator Stacey King likes to call him, was taken with the fourth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Williams posses tremendous upside and was the first pick of the Chicago Bulls revamped front office. On the season, P-Will is averaging 9.9 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 1.3 APG. The rookie is also shooting 46% from the field and 39% from three-point range.
The Chicago Bulls have reportedly rebuffed the inquiries for the young forward. In his rookie season, Patrick Williams has shown flashes of being a very valuable piece on what is hopefully becoming a competitive team moving forward.
Artūras Karnišovas and Marc Eversley have been rumored to be engaging in trade talk, but the names involved have been veteran players such as Tomas Satoransky and Thaddeus Young. Unless an offer came in that blew the doors off of their offices, expect Patrick Williams to stay right here in Chicago.
