As Chicago Blackhawks fans await their opportunity to watch hockey inside the United Center, the team’s AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, is extending an invitation of their own.
The Hogs reached out to season ticket holders and have invited them to see the team play in one of the final three home games of the season. Fans will be able to choose from the May 1st contest against Grand Rapids, May 9th against Iowa, or May 14th against the team’s in-state rival, the Chicago Wolves.
An empty BMO Harris Bank Center has been awaiting the day where fans can fill its seats for events. Although a limited capacity, this decision by the IceHogs will bring the game back to life in Rockford. Of course, all while abiding by state and local guidelines.
The ‘Hogs next game is this Wednesday against the Wolves. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM CDT.
