The Chicago Bears continue their emphasis on offense in the 2021 NFL Draft. All five picks thus far have all been on the offensive side of the ball. Ryan Pace’s latest selection came 221st overall in the sixth round. The Bears drafted wide receiver Dazz Newsome from North Carolina.

The four-year senior out of UNC is listed at 5-foot-11 and 190 lbs but has a muscular build. Newsome comes to Chicago likely to serve as their slot receiver and potentially as their returner on special teams as well.

“Newsome is a good route-runner with excellent separation quickness, has terrific hands, outstanding ball skills, and is a fearless competitor”

– The Draft Network

The addition of Newsome likely means the end of Anthony Miller’s time in Chicago or at the very least brings in competition during training camp to push Miller.
