Lance Lynn, the largest offseason acquisition for the White Sox, returns to the mound on Saturday after a short stint on the injured list. Lynn initially landed on the injured list on April 18th (retroactive to April 17th) due to a strained right trap.
In a corresponding move, the White Sox optioned outfielder Luis González to the alternate training site in Schaumburg. González previously joined the White Sox roster on Tuesday as Jonathan Stiever headed to the alternate site.
As for Lance Lynn, the big righty currently sports a 0.92 ERA over 19.2 innings pitched in 2021. The White Sox and fans alike will be excited to have the productive inning-eater back in his rotation slot after plenty of early-season injuries for the squad.
