The Chicago Steel will seek their second Clark Cup in franchise history when they face the Fargo Force in the USHL’s Clark Cup Final.
The Steel, the USHL’s No. 1 overall seed, swept the Dubuque Fighting Saints and Muskegon Lumberjacks in the first two rounds to advance to the Clark Cup Final. The Force upset the West’s No. 1 seed Tri-City Storm 2-1 before sweeping No. 3 seed Sioux City Musketeers 2-0 to make their fourth Clark Cup Final appearance.
It will be the first postseason series between Chicago and Fargo. The series will see two of the past three Clark Cup champions face off as the Steel and Force won the Clark Cup in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
The two teams did not play each other during the regular season.
Chicago will host Games 1 and 2 on Friday and Saturday, respectively, at Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva. Fargo hosts Game 3 on Friday, May 21 at Scheels Arena. Game 4 will take place on Saturday, May 22 in Fargo, and Game 5 will be Tuesday, May 25 in Geneva, if necessary.
