The U.S. men’s national team roster is set for the CONCACAF Nation’s League. Head coach Gregg Berhalter announced the 23-man roster earlier this week.
One noticeable element of this roster is the number of European-based players. Berhalter has said he will try his very best to not call in players for both the Nation’s League and the upcoming Gold Cup later this summer. It, therefore, makes sense to call in European-based players for the Nation’s League as the Gold Cup overlaps with European pre-seasons.
Fans will be excited to see standout players such as Christian Pulisic, Timothy Weah, Gio Reyna, and Sergiño Dest, but they will not see players such as Daryl Dike, who had an outstanding loan spell in the English Championship with Barnsley.
The Nation’s League Roster
The U.S. are in the semi-finals of the 2019-20 edition of the Nation’s League, which was pushed back to this June due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first match will take place against Honduras on June 3rd in Denver. The winner of that match will play the winner of Mexico vs. Costa Rica, which is also scheduled for June 3rd.
