On Tuesday, Chicago House AC signed Wojciech Wójcik. This addition marks Technical Director and Manager C.J. Brown’s third signing to his inaugural squad.
“We are very excited to sign Wojciech Wójcik! We feel we are getting a very experienced, hold up number nine with soft feet that can connect with our midfield, says Brown. “A Polish player that has grown up in Chicago playing youth soccer, who is now returning home to play in front of his friends and family in the Windy City. He has the leadership qualities you want on, and off the field.”
The signing of Wójcik is certainly in line with the club’s determination to field a Chicago-heavy roster, with the majority of players having ties to the city.
Wójcik is a forward who is a graduate of nearby Bradley University. He also has played for an extensive list of professional teams including Indy Eleven and the New York Cosmos. He most recently played for Forward Madison of USL League One.
“Ever since moving to Chicago from Poland at three years old, Chicago has been home,” Wójcik said. “It’s where I fell in love with soccer, it’s where I have all of my childhood memories, and it’s where I have my closest family and friends.”
Chicago House will kick off their season in the NISA Independent Cup in July.
