The rain in Cleveland is not letting up. As a result, the Chicago White Sox announced that their series finale with the Cleveland Indians has been postponed. This game will be made up on September 23, 2021 in a split doubleheader. That will be the start of what is now a five-game series against the Indians towards the end of the year, with a possible division title on the line.

The Chicago White Sox took game one of the series on Monday by defeating the Cleveland Indians 8-6. They went on to lose the second game of the doubleheader on Monday, 3-1. In Tuesday’s matchup, the Sox lost in what turned out to be an exciting game. The final score was 6-5, giving Cleveland the lead in the series 2-1.

The next time the White Sox play Cleveland is in late July. It’s a three-game set spanning from July 30 to August 1. The White Sox are currently sitting at 5-6 against the Cleveland Indians thus far in 2021.
